Kerry farmer Thomas Culloty has been placed among the 16 most environmentally efficient dairy producers in the country. A supplier to the Lee Strand Co-op, Mr. Culloty was a finalist in the diary category of the Origin Green Sustainable Beef and Dairy Producers Awards, held in Portlaoise last week. The awards recognise the outstanding environmental performance of Bord Bia Quality Assurance Scheme members, particularly with regard to their carbon footprint, biodiversity and water management.
