In advance of the IGOTA’s 22nd National Golf Tourism Conference & Awards dinner which was hosted in Tralee & North Kerry for the very first time last weekend an invite was extended to the golf operators to arrive a day early to Stay, Dine & Golf in Tralee on Saturday 19th October.

The Rose Hotel, Ballygarry House Hotel, Tralee Chamber Alliance & Tralee Golf Club, came together to host the familiarisation experience for the operators. Starting with Golf in Tralee Golf Club on Saturday morning, the group then enjoyed a fabulous meal in Croí restaurant that evening and checked in for a relaxing four-star overnight stay in The Rose Hotel and Ballygarry House Hotel. Denis Kane, IGTOA Chairman, thanked all for hosting such a fantastic showcase of Tralee speaking at the dinner hosted by Dick Spring, Ronan Deasy & Brian Stephenson from Tralee Chamber Alliance.
Golf Tour operators, delegates and sponsors descended on Tralee from 20th-21st October for the IGTOA’s 22nd National Golf Tourism Conference & Gala Golf Awards. The action-packed two-day event included: a business networking session, conference, networking dinner, golf in Ballybunion and a non-golfer event, including a dance workshop in Siamsa, sight-seeing helicopter ride, walk in Glenteennassig Forest, with a surprise pop up Irish whiskey & Baileys bar hidden in the woods followed by lunch in Ashes Bar in Camp. The event culminated with the annual black-tie Gala awards dinner. All the events were hosted between The Rose Hotel & Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa, who joined forces last October to win this prestigious event for Tralee!
Padraig McGillicuddy, Proprietor, Ballygarry House Hotel: “It’s a privilege to entertain the Golf operators & associated from all over the globe. The event has been a real showcase for Kerry’s Capital & our County. The partnership was a superb initiative & a great success.
