DPD Ireland has this week officially opened its new Kerry depot at Monavalley Business Park, Tralee. The company is Ireland’s largest dedicated parcel carrier and provides next day delivery from their thirty-seven strategically located depots throughout Ireland.
A fleet of more than fifteen vans collect and deliver parcels on behalf of hundreds of customers in the Kerry region. DPD Ireland ensures that their customers keep up to speed at all the important stages of their parcel’s delivery journey through real-time tracking via dpd.ie, the DPD Predict one-hour window delivery messaging via text, email and push notification and the award winning DPD Ireland App.
DPD Ireland’s state-of-the-art sortation hub is based in Athlone and was extended in 2017 to enable increased capacity into the future. The hub’s fully automated sortation system processes up to 100,000 parcels each night. Their 37 Irish depots are strategically located close to their customers, providing optimum collection and delivery times. The company’s network of almost 600 parcels shops, called Pickup Points, offers the consumer the opportunity to collect or return parcels early until late, seven days a week.
