Enable Ireland’s annual ‘Life With No Limits’ campaign takes place from 16 -22 September this year. The public can support Enable Ireland’s services for over 8,500 children and adults with disabilities by purchasing Life With No Limit’s merchandise from TK Maxx stores in Tralee and Killarney and from volunteer sellers.
The campaign provides a platform for children and adults with disabilities using Enable Ireland services to talk about how they live Life with No Limits while raising much-needed funds to support the charity’s work. Enable Ireland children’s service in Tralee provides vital therapy and support services to children with disabilities. For adults with disabilities, they provide day and community outreach services.
Brian Murphy (aged 29) is one of Enable Ireland’s Life With No Limits Champions. In June of this year, Brian spent five days sailing from Cardiff to Southampton on a specially adapted wooden tall ship designed to be fully accessible to people of all abilities including wheelchair users, like Brian.
“When I got the opportunity to go on this trip, I didn’t hesitate to say yes to it. I had never sailed before but I had no fear doing it. My advice is don’t overthink stuff. Just try it. I’d encourage everyone to step out of their comfort zone and take a risk. Do something different. Opportunities to do something new like this don’t come around every day. If I get the chance to do another challenge like this, I would definitely take it up.”
John O’Sullivan, CEO of Enable Ireland comments on the campaign, “It is a really positive campaign and we want the public to get on board and have fun with it. There are lots of ways you can help – buy our Life With No Limits merchandise or make a donation online at www.enableireland.ie. More than ever we need the help of the public to raise funds to support our services for children and adults with disabilities.”
Support the ‘Enable Ireland Life with No Limits’ campaign from 16-22 September and help raise vital funds for disability services. Life with No Limits merchandise is on sale in Enable Ireland charity shops, TK Maxx stores and from volunteers nationwide.
