Are you ready for the Tralee Nun Challenge on June 15th? Saturday week will see a black and white crowd descending on Tralee Town Park attempting to break the Guinness World Record of the largest gathering ever of people dressed as nuns, as part of Feile na mBláth 2019. Tralee Nun Challenge is looking for at least 1,500 nuns to turn up at 6:30pm to this fundraising event, organised by the Tralee Rowing Club in conjunction with Pieta House.
There will be music, entertainment and food stalls during the event in the Town Park, as well as spot prizes for “Best Bearded Nun”, “Funniest Make-Up” and “Best Sister Act”. A number of local pubs and restaurants will be offering special promotions exclusively for nuns in costume during that Saturday only.The event is gathering momentum on social media with the hashtag #traleenunchallenge. You MUST wear BLACK SHOES to be counted as a nun for the Guinness World Record. Purchase tickets on Eventbrite.com, call 087 7819051 or buy them on the day of the event at the marquee. The nun costume can be collected with your ticket from The Grand Hotel on Friday 14th of June, between 6:30 and 8pm. Or they can be collected on the day of the event, Saturday 15th, from 5:30pm at the marquee in Tralee Town Park.
