Santas Winter Wonderland begins at Lakeside Café at Tralee Bay Wetlands this week, where Santa is getting ready to meet the boys and girls of Kerry, the Sliabh Mish Room at the Wetlands has been transformed into a magical space where boys and girls can have some time to chat with Santa, tell him how good they have been and what they would like this season as a reward for that.
Head elf Ginger is returning this year ready to have fun with everyone, and of course Mrs. Clause will keep control of the boys..
Rose of Tralee paid a visit this week to ensure it was ready to welcome everyone and she had an amazing time and such fun there she said she would be back,
Creative director of the wonderland Ecologist Tom Canavan tells us “Of all the seasons Santa loves Winter most. It’s the thrill of a sleigh ride amongst aurora borealis, when the frost is in his beard and the hot breath of his Reindeer clouds the night air as they hurtle ahead of his sleigh.
When he stays in Lakeside café Tralee Bay Wetlands, while he rests up ahead of the big night, he stays for the quiet, cold mornings when he can nearly hear a heron’s wings, can watch Swans so white they remind of him of home. He stays so he can eat, be merry and be close to Nature, this is why we created the scene indoors for him to enjoy, Tom goes on to tell us that while it is full of things kind to nature and has an indoor wonderland scene it carries a distinct theme of sustainability with the post to the North Pole Wall, which has been created totally from recycled cardboard and other materials. So far we have letters from children from Poland, Ukraine Cork limerick and all over Kerry ready to go to the north pole.
Each child will receive an appropriate quality gift from Santa all wrapped in recyclable gift paper.
While each guest will receive complimentary tea coffee and Hot Chocolate, so come and join him and tell him what you want for Christmas. “
