It’s no surprise that Cara Credit Union have teamed up with the Tralee Tidy Towns committee. Given that credit unions are at the heart of local communities it is a natural fit to see them lend support to the fantastic work done by the local Tralee Tidy Towns group.

Speaking to Pa Laide, CEO of Cara Credit Union, he said; ““Every day we see ordinary people going to extraordinary lengths to make our communities better places to live. As a local not-for-profit financial co-operative, we feel it is our responsibility to lend support to organisations such as Tralee Tidy Towns. However, to enable us to support such causes, we need support from our members. To this end, we ask members to consider Cara Credit Union if they need a loan. Lending is our main source of income. Therefore, the more we earn the more we can give back to our members and our local community.”

Joe Moynihan from the Tidy Towns committee continued ; “ This year we have worked tirelessly to ensure Tralee is looking great for the many, many people who had a staycation in Tralee this year as well as the many locals who came out in force to support their local town during the pandemic. We would like to thank Cara Credit Union for coming on board to lend their support at a time when we need it most.”

We see the positive impact that Tidy Towns volunteers have first-hand everyday. If you would like to be part of Tralee Tidy Towns check out their facebook page at Tralee Tidy Towns.
