The Rose Hotel transformed into a den of laughter, music, and general tomfoolery on Sunday, 2nd July. The occasion? The long-awaited book launch of Denise Brassil’s contemporary romance novel “What Anna Did Next.” With Radio Kerry’s Elaine Kinsella on stage as the MC for the day, it was an unforgettable afternoon of craic and entertainment.

Over 300 people were in attendance and listened with emotion and laughter as Denise read an excerpt from the book written in partnership with her late sister Martha.

Elaine skillfully grilled Denise, extracting amusing anecdotes and delving into the secrets behind her creative genius and separated the facts from fiction. Pressing her on whether the book has legs to make it to TV, Denise replied coyly, “yes!”

Just when the excitement peaked, a momentary hush fell over the room. Suddenly, none other than “fastest fingers”Liam O’Connor burst on to the stage. His incredible musical talent, along with his son and daughter, gripped the audience – feet tapped, heads bobbed, and inhibitions evaporated! One would easily forget it was 4pm in the afternoon.
