At our last meeting on January 6th, Tralee Toastmasters hosted a great nights entertainment on the night of Nollaig an mban. Our helmsman on the night was the very amiable James Finnegan who dutifully introduced the speakers in a very pleasant manner.
Joan Prendergast gave a very insightful speech on the value of being persistent in the pursuit of excellence. Lily Tangney followed with a short introduction to our rich Christmas Traditions in Kerry and the speakers slot finished with a contribution by Anne Lawlor, on the importance of sharing and caring. All the speakers embellished their stories with personal experiences and entertained the audience in a meaningful and humorous manner.
In timely fashion Hillary Costello opened the topics session and presided over a hilarious half hour that brought tears of joy to the participants and guests. The meeting was very well attended and it was the opinion of Club President Anthony Garvey that such nights are what make the Toastmaster experience such a valuable one.
