To get you fired up for the Halloween festivities, here’s a selection of events taking place in Tralee this Samhain

1. FOR CULTURE, TRADITION AND OLD-WORLD KNOWLEDGE…
Siamsa Tíre is an absolute must this Halloween. You get an authentic, traditional take on Samhain, and you get see the Town Park in all its autumnal glory while your there. The Samhain Festival 2021 kicks off during mid-term with a spookilicious program packed with family-friendly fun. From Mon 25th to Sat 30th, Siamsa will host a mix of theatre, arts & crafts workshops and storytelling with Eddie Lenihan one of the few remaining traditional seanchaithe in Ireland; audiences will be spellbound by the way he weaves a tale. 2. SKELETONS AT BALLYSEEDY
Nobody does festivities better than Ballyseedy Home & Garden Centre. No matter what the occasion, these folks really go for it. Their Halloween festival begins on October 23rd so pop in for pop-up activities like jack-o-lantern carving, sustainable arts & crafts and pottery classes. Tickets can be purchased at the Ballyseedy website. All events are suitable for children aged 8 and upwards. Expect lots of pumpkins.

3. ECO FRIENDLY
WITH A SPOOKY EDGE
This Halloween, blow away the cobwebs at the Tralee Bay Wetlands Eco & Activity Park as it hosts some brilliant activities, including a Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt. Places are set to go quickly so book early. A guided nature trail around the Wetlands reveals the spooky creatures that might be lurking beneath the murky waters, while the Scavenger Hunt leads families to the pumpkin patch where you get to choose your own pumpkin to take home and carve. 4. KID’S HALLOWEEN FANCY DRESS DISCO
Little Rosebuds Pamper Parlour is hosting a Fancy Dress Disco on Sunday, 31st October at 1pm. As part of the fun, kids will get a little Halloween Tattoo (temp, naturally), some Halloween treats, extra fun and games and there’s a prize for best dressed.

Best of all, there’s a disco so all the despicable witches and warlocks can shake off that excess Halloween energy while they dance and prance and hop and skip around, casting spells to their heart’s delight. Tickets are 20 euro. Call 066 712 8790 to book your space.
