Network Ireland Kerry held its April event, “Networking for Success – Empowering Successful Connections,” at the Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa. The evening featured Jean Evans of NetworkMe, who shared powerful insights on purposeful networking and building strong professional communities. Attendees left inspired, equipped with practical tools and renewed confidence to network effectively.
Aisling Foley, Network Ireland Kerry Vice President and Awards Coordinator, served as MC. She highlighted the 2025 Businesswoman of the Year Awards, now open for entries in the Employer, Employee, and Entrepreneur categories. Kerry McCarthy Brady, a 2024 award winner, encouraged members to apply before the April 17th deadline.
The evening also included a celebration of community giving, as President Emily Reen and Tralee Chamber Alliance’s Dáire McCann presented €500 donations to both the Kerry Hospice Foundation and the Kerry Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre, raised during their joint International Women’s Day fundraiser.
Colette O’Connor, CEO of Tralee Chamber, praised the collaborative effort, noting the strength of partnerships between business organisations. The event concluded with a toast to the 2024 Kerry Businesswomen of the Year and an exciting announcement of the upcoming Awards Ceremony at The Rose Hotel, Tralee on May 23rd. Dr. Breda O’Dwyer will MC, with entrepreneur and broadcaster Norah Casey as keynote speaker.
Sponsors for the awards include AIB, Kerry LEO, Fexco, MTU, Hercules Building Systems, and Partnership International. Proceeds from a charity raffle on the night will benefit the Kerry Hospice Foundation.
President Emily Reen also announced that the 2025 Network Ireland National Conference and Awards will be hosted in Killarney, a first in over 42 years.
