The corridors and halls of Scoil Eoin, Balloonagh came alive with colour and festive spirit this week as pupils put their talent on display for the Annual Christmas Concert. For weeks now the children of Scoil Eoin guided by their teachers and music co-ordinator Triona Daly have been rehearsing for this much anticipated event.
Different shows were held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with daytime performances for appreciative school colleagues, while family and friends attended at night.

Aileen Griffin’s Senior Infants take to the stage with “Our Wonderful World” a delightful mix of narration song and movement exploring the wonders of creation.
Mrs O Donoghue’s junior infants class delight audiences with a creative exploration of “The Four Seasons”
Ms Emma Sugrue’s Senior Infants have fun with “Whoops A Daisy Angel” a play about a messy, untidy , clumsy angel who never gets to do any important jobs.
Mrs Meehans 1st present their dramatic production of “Elves on Strike” . The elves are disgruntled, overworked and underpaid! They go on strike! Will Santa be able to sort out the crisis in time?
Ms Curtin’s 5th a lively all singing all dancing show called “The Sweetest Thing” featuring Mrs Claus who has a major problem to solve.
Mrs Kennedy’s 3rd class ( secret advisors to this year’s RTE Toy Show !!!) present their version of The Jungle Book.
Joe Mc Mahon and Catherine Ryan’s Fourth Class production “The True Meaning of Christmas a thought provoking show which draws our attention to the importance of love and family at Christmas.
Mr Brosnan’s 5th class present Snow White and the 7 Dwarves, a play inspired by Roald Dahl’s Book of Revolting Rhymes.
Mrs Meehans traditional musicians entertained audiences with a set that ranges from nursery rhymes to polkas and hornpipes.
As the hall emptied on the last practice of the concert some pupils were overheard discussing plans for next years event. Ho! Ho! Ho! How we wish it could be Christmas every day.
