All 64 Roses are due to meet their official escorts for the first time at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on Tuesday (15 August) at Rose Race Day 2017 with gates open from 5.30PM. The ten race meeting will start at 6.58PM. Rose Race Day 2017 will also be a fun filled family evening with face painting, a bouncy castle along with all your favourite cartoon characters to keep the children entertained. This will also be an opportunity to meet and mingle with the 64 Roses.

The current Rose of Tralee Maggie McEldowney will make the presentation to the winner of the 2017 Speedrite Dog Food Rose of Tralee Final. Patrons attending Rose Race Day 2017 will also be in for a chance to win a pair of the much sought-after tickets to the Rose Ball in the Dome on Friday (18 August).
Jasmine Boutique in Tralee will proudly sponsor the Best Dressed Lady Competition with a first prize of €200 voucher with two runners up prizes.

Declan Dowling Stadium Manager commented, “The Kingdom Stadium are thrilled to host Rose Race Day 2017 which promises to be a great family event for all. There has been strong early interest so I would advise people to book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets for the Rose Ball are like gold dust so I expect a full crowd on the night.”
