A fundraising event will take place in Ann O Dowd’s playschool at number 6 Lioscarrig Drive, Caherslee , Friday May 17th from 5pm -7pm. The wine and cheese night has been organised by Jacinta DIneen, Ann O’ Dowd and Kate Kearns before their visit to the Tír na nÓg children’s home and school in July of this year. The ladies are using the fundraiser to raise vital funds for the project which is situated on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Tír na nÓg was founded in 2007 by Tralee native Louise Quill. The children’s home and school currently cares for and educates over 230 children on a daily basis. This event is open to anyone that would like to come along and support the trio before their journey in July.
