FOLLOWING a huge in-store giveaway by Gala Retail, local woman Angela O’Donnell from Tralee has been named as the winner of a holiday after entering the competition in local store, Gala Mounthawk.
Running in store as part of the Gala Group’s 20th year celebrations, the Gala European Holiday Giveaway competition gave Gala customers the chance to win a trip to European destinations including Paris, Rome, Lisbon, Barcelona and Vienna.
Angela joined representatives from Gala Mounthawk, store manager Mandy McGuire and staff member Sandra Breen along with Gala Retail Operations Executive (ROE), Colin McTaggart, at Gala Mounthawk for the presentation of her prize last week.
Speaking at the prize presentation, store manager, Mandy McGuire, added:
“The Gala European Holiday Giveaway competition was a huge success with our customers in Gala stores across the country, generating a lot of buzz in stores and local communities.
“We are thrilled to have had a winner in our area and on behalf of the store, we’d like to wish Angela an extremely happy holiday, courtesy of Gala Retail.”
The European Holiday Giveaway competition is the latest event in a year of celebrations that mark the Gala Group’s 20th year in business and follows on from a huge social media competition which saw the Group giveaway a brand-new Toyota Aygo, as well as the Gala Gifts for Schools competition which saw the Gala Group award €20,000 of cash prize money to three lucky Irish primary schools. The second half of the year will see the continuation of Gala Gifts with a huge in store promotion that will include thousands of prizes for Gala customers.
