When Grill and Thrill family restaurant opened its doors on Castle street last Autumn , its owner Irfan had a very simple goal, to serve the very best of what he served up . And with plenty of experience in the food and hospitality industry
(A Tralee family man , he already operates the Tasty Bite restaurant & Takeaway in Pembroke street and another restaurant in Cork ), Irfan has done just that .A huge hit with all types of customers for lunch , dinner and takeaways, its the specialities on his menu that are proving very popular . Such as the Peri Peri Chicken Platters , Kebab meals (all types ) Shish Kebabs , Chicken Zinger Burgers, steak burgers ,Lamb Chops , Wraps , Pizzas and a great Kids menu. But Irfan had another challenge in mind ,with his food background “ I always wanted to serve up the best Curries in Kerry , not just Tralee “ and recently he has just started to do that with the launch of his full Exquisite Indian Menu , sit down is available from 5pm to 10pm as well as a delivery and takeaway service .
“ My staff is key to my business , after all they represent me , “ says Irfan . And recently I have been able to take on a top Indian Chef with a lot of great experience . This has allowed me expand into the area of serving Top class curries ( as well as other indian delights ) to the people of Tralee “ And what a variety, at the last count we were talking over 20 styles of curry from the mild such as Tikka Massala or Korma to the very very hot like Vindaloo and Phall . “Mostly people know curries as a green curry (mild ) or a red curry (hot) “ says Irfan , but there is a lot more to curries than just that and we want our customers to enjoy such an experience . We are talking Rogan Josh , Jalfrezi,Jaipuri, Balti , Madras, Bhuna ,Biryani, Dopiaza , Vindaloo , to name a few and all served up with the Indian Classics such as Naan bread and Pilau rice .All the beef , lamb and chicken from Grill & Thrill is fresh and sourced 100% in Munster And the prices ? fantastic value , especially when you consider the quality of the food served up to you.
