DÁITHÍ Ó Sé will return to the Dome to present the Rose of Tralee selection live on TV for the eighth year running next August, while his RTÉ colleague Marty Morrissey will host a brand new celebration party night in the Dome on Thursday 17th August.
Rose of Tralee Maggie McEldowney and Dáithí Ó Sé have announced details of this year’s Dome entertainment line-up at the 2017 Rose of Tralee International Festival from 16th August and tickets are now on sale from www.roseoftralee.ie.
Variety is the spice of life and the Dome audiences will be treated to live music and dancing with two cabaret shows starring Nathan Carter and Ronan Collins Showband Show, the latest trends at the Autumn Winter Fashion Show, delicious flavours at the Taste Kerry Food Expo and party fun at the late night discos.
The Managing Director of the Rose of Tralee International Festival, Anthony O’Gara, said: “It’s always exciting to announce when our tickets are going on sale. This year we are looking forward to welcoming more people to enjoy the many events in the Dome, including the televised Rose selection nights which, we are keen to highlight, are not exclusive to invited guests and the supporters of the Roses. Locals and visitors, young and old, are encouraged to come along to the TV selections to experience the fun, excitement and electric atmosphere as the Roses take to the stage with Dáithí Ó Sé live on RTÉ TV. The public can also attend the Celebration of Roses with Marty Morrissey in the Dome on Thursday 17th August and share the dance floor with the Roses, Rose Escorts and our visitors from around the world to the 16-piece dance band Route 66.”

This year’s street festival will include over 80 hours of FREE entertainment for people of all ages with three parades, two fireworks displays, marching bands, world-class street performers with a variety of styles and visuals, Family Town in the Town Park and more entertainment zones throughout the town.
FREE night-time entertainment in the town centre will feature a feast of music for all tastes from Swing to Trad to Rock ‘n’ Pop on two stages in The Square and on Denny Street.
Once again, 65 Roses, 65 Rose Escorts, their families and supporters will descend on Tralee from 16 to 22 August while Fossetts Circus and Birds Amusements will return to round-off the perfect festival experience for everyone to enjoy.
