The launch of the 2018 Kerry GAA Supporters sponsored Race of Champions took place last WEEK at the fantastic new Kerry GAA Centre of Excellence in Currans. The 2018 Kerry GAA Supporters Race of Champions Final will take place on Friday 8th June.
The open 550 yds events with a winner’s prize of €15,000 continues to attract Ireland’s top canine stars with several of last year’s classic winners indicating that they will participate.
Speaking at the launch Tim Murphy, Chairman of Kerry GAA stated that “The annual “Night of Champions” event has become a fundamental element of our fundraising activities. It is a vital component of our overall commitment to ensuring the best resources possible are provided for all our teams to prepare to the highest possible level. Thanks to our hardworking committee and in particular Chairman Christy O’ Connell and Secretary John joe O’ Carroll for their tireless work over the past number of weeks. We look forward to a great nights entertainment for all.”
Donie O’ Leary, Chairman of Kerry GAA Supporters Club remarked “We are delighted to again sponsor this very prestigious event and be part of this very important fundraising venture for the Kerry teams training fund”.
Christy O’Connell Chairman of the fundraising committee commented “We are really looking forward to seeing all Kerry GAA supporters come along on June 8th and meet their Kerry Football and Hurling heroes up close on what will be a great night of racing along with Best Dressed Lady sponsored by Jasmine, loads of kids activities, music after racing and a live outside broadcast with Radio Kerry.”
